ENRMN Board Members Meeting

Board members meeting held on Monday July 16, 2018 coincides with 25.Sartan.1397 in the office of Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources Monitoring Network (Afghanistan Young Greens) for coordination and better implementation of the plan of the year 2018.
Mohammad Shafaq executive director of Afghanistan Young Greens began the meeting by greeting the participant and announced the purpose and agenda of this meeting.
According to the meeting agenda, field visit of 10 members of the network to evaluate the environmental and mining challenges of one the provinces was discussed.
Mr. Yasin Satiz provided key information regarding the aim of monitoring and evaluating the environmental and mining challenges of one of those provinces and also enlightened the issues of the exact date & time, security challenges, transportation, coordination with related community councils, directorate of national environmental protection, department of disaster management, municipality, governor of that province and other concerned authorities. He also included that how the findings well be shared with the team.
After the discussions and opinion exchanged between board members, Mr. Shafaq summed up the conversation. The field trip date decided as 1st Sep 2018 and the date of sharing the findings of Network members with relevant stakeholders specified as 21st Sep 2018. Responsibilities during this meeting were also determined. The responsibility of preparing ToRs and procedures of the trip to province was assigned to Mr. Asadullah Sarwari, individual member of board of directors, the responsibility of evaluating the security issues assigned to Mr. Ismail Qarizada, sponsor of Network and to Mr. Ahmad Atayee, provincial member of boards of directors and the Secretariat itself took the responsibility of the coordination.
During the meeting discussions also held between members on signing a MoU with Ministry of Mine & Petroleum and it was agreed by all members that the responsibility of reviewing the MoU should be taken by Mr. Raihani, New Way Society Organization representative, and also was requested that to share the MoU with Secretariat and board members on early Saturday morning.
In the next part of the meeting was allocated to make decision on press conference. It was decided by all board members that the conference should be conducted on Monday, 23 July 2018 coincides with 1st Asad 1397
Decision on two other issues also were also made. One finalizing the plan for activities of Sada-e-Zameen Magazine, two finalizing the policy for provincial committee of network, and it was decided that the draft of plan and policy will be shared via E-mail by Secretariat. Members of board of directors were requested to share their feedback by Wednesday evening.
